Sidewalks are for walking

Pitt-Johnstown police charged Kiersten Warren, 20, of Johnstown, with  a traffic violation Dec. 11.

Officer Edward Ostroski reported that Warren failed to stop at a stop sign.

A $129 fine was listed for the charge.

Campus police have charged Bailey Ketterer, 18, of Etters, York County, with driving on a sidewalk Dec. 14.

Chief Eric Zangaglia reported that Ketterer drove on the sidewalk in front of Hemlock Hall.

A $129 fine was listed for the charge.

Pitt-Johnstown police also have charged Webster Burrier, 22, of Glen Rock, York County, with driving on a sidewalk Jan. 4.

Officer Glenn Berkey reported that Burrier operated a motor vehicle on a pedestrian sidewalk.

A $130 fine was listed for the charge.

Pitt-Johnstown police have charged Riley Straw, 19, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, and Jacob Huffman, 18, of Connoquenessing, Butler County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor, malt or brewed beverages Jan. 7.

Officer Matthew Updyke reported that Straw was stopped in Hickory Hall in possession of a bottle of Bacardi rum, bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Officer Updyke also reported that Huffman was highly intoxicated and vomiting in Hickory Hall.

Emergency Medical Service transported Huffman to Windber medical center.

A $455 fine was listed for each citation.
