Pitt-Johnstown police charged nonstudent Daniel Barnes, 22, of Latrobe, Westmoreland County, with disorderly conduct Sept. 28.

Campus Police Officer Edward Ostrowski alleged, in a citation filed Oct. 2, Barnes had caused a public inconvenience, annoyance or created a hazardous or physically offensive condition.

In the same citation, Ostrowski alleged that Barnes had passed out due to alcohol consumption in a Larkspur Lodge shower, which caused water to overflow and set off a fire alarm.

A $586 fine was listed for the offense.

Pitt-Johnstown police charged student Joseph Ermatinger, 19, of Douglassville, Berks County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor, malt or brewed beverages Sept. 30.

In a citation filed Oct. 2 Ostrowski said Ermatinger had consumed alcoholic beverages to the point that he was staggering and exhibited slurred speech and glassy eyes.

In the same citation, Ostrowski alleged that Ermatinger had a strong odor of alcohol and had admitted to drinking a lot of beer.

A $460 fine was listed for the offense.

Pitt-Johnstown police charged student Matthew Stoves, 18, of Jeannette, Westmoreland County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor, malt or brewed beverages Oct. 1.

In a citation filed Oct. 2 Ostrowski said  Stoves had consumed liquor, malt or brewed beverages to the extent that he needed assistance walking.

In the same citation, Ostrowski alleged that Stoves was staggering, had slurred speech and admitted to consuming several beers.

A $460 fine was listed for the offense.

Pitt-Johnstown police charged student Austin Rigdon, 18, of Finleyville, Washington County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor, malt or brewed beverages Oct. 1.

Campus Police Officer Glenn Berkey alleged in a citation filed Oct. 2 that Rigdon had consumed alcohol to the point that he received medical treatment in Windber Medical Center.

In the same citation, Berkey alleged that Rigdon had a strong odor of alcohol, displayed glassy blood-shot eyes, slurred speech and walked with a staggering gait.

A $460 fine was listed for the offense.

Pitt-Johnstown police charged nonstudent William Kirkwood, 18, of Windber, Somerset County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor, malt or brewed beverages Oct. 1.

In a citation filed Oct. 2 by Berkey, Kirkwood consumed malt or brewed beverages at the Physical Plant parking lot and had a strong odor of alcohol, glassy blood-shot eyes, slurred speech and walked with a staggering gait.

A $460 fine was listed for the offense.

Pitt-Johnstown police charged student Kyle Quarles, 18, of Bethlehem, Lehigh and Northampton counties, with disorderly conduct Oct. 3.

In a citation filed Oct. 4, Berkey said, Quarles had created a hazardous or physically offensive condition by providing a small amount of marijuana to two students in Hemlock Hall.

A $260 fine is listed for the offense.
